About Us
Griffin Racing is driver/owner Ryan Griffin. He
races a Titan T-4 kart at Beechnut Raceway in Blountville, TN and other East Tennessee tracks. This will be his second full season of racing karts. He purchased the kart
part way through the 2006 season, making it out only a couple of times. Last year he ran the full 2007 season finishing 6th in points in the Amateur Stock Class.
Coming from a racing family, it was inevitable that Ryan would
eventually get into racing himself. His uncle is the owner of a dirt
late model, his brother races a dirt modified and his father a
sportsman. Growing up in a racing family was spending every saturday at the shop
working on the cars, a couple days during the week at the shop and
every Saturday night at the track. Even before he was old enough to be
in the pits he would be in the stands tracking lap times. As Ryan
became older his father let him fill in driving the sportsman race car.
Even as a fill-in with limited seat time, he ran well and had feature
finishes as high as second place. Now Ryan is taking on racing
for himself and is currently leading points in his division at Beechnut Raceway. Look for him in the #12 Bojangles Famous Chicken & Biscuits, Toddzilla Racing Engines, Titan with flames down the side
at a track in East Tennessee.
